Poster Making Activity Under Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign

The “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign initiated by the Government of India aims to promote cleanliness and hygiene across the nation. On 21st September 2024, our institution organized a vibrant poster-making activity to raise awareness about this vital initiative. Under the able guidance of Principal Simi Johal and NSS Coordinator Prof. Sonia, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike.The activity commenced with a brief introduction by Prof. Sonia, emphasizing the significance of cleanliness in our daily lives and its impact on public health and the environment. She highlighted the government’s objectives of the campaign, urging participants to contribute creatively to spread the message of cleanliness.
Participants were divided into groups, each encouraged to conceptualize posters that conveyed the importance of sanitation and hygiene. The groups brainstormed ideas, using various art materials such as colors, markers, and chart papers. The atmosphere was lively and filled with creativity, as students worked collaboratively, showcasing their artistic skills and innovative ideas.Prof. Neha Rani and Prof. Hrinderjit Singh circulated among the groups, providing guidance and encouraging discussions on effective messaging. They emphasized the need for posters to not only be visually appealing but also informative, ensuring that the messages were clear and impactful. Prof. Jaswinder assisted in documenting the activity and capturing the essence of each group’s efforts through photographs.The finished posters exhibited a variety of themes, from promoting waste segregation to encouraging the use of eco-friendly materials. The creativity displayed by the students was commendable, reflecting their understanding of the campaign’s core messages. After the completion of the activity, a small exhibition was organized, allowing students to showcase their work to the entire institution.The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for the most innovative and informative posters, judged by the faculty members. Principal Simi Johal commended the participants for their hard work and creativity, reiterating the importance of cleanliness in creating a better society.

This poster-making activity not only fostered teamwork and creativity among students but also reinforced the vital message of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, encouraging everyone to contribute towards a cleaner and healthier environment.
